THE TEAM

This is a key senior management role within our Finance team, responsible for a team of four. You’ll be looking after all financial accounting associated with easyJet’s fleet of over 350 aircraft, working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders across the business.


THE ROLE

As Senior Finance Manager – Fleet & Capital, you will have full responsibility for accounting and controls associated with easyJet’s fleet of over 350 aircraft. You’ll lead all month end accounting activities, including aircraft leases and maintenance provisions, and deliver month end reporting including P&L and capex variance analysis.

You’ll proactively anticipate accounting complexities, exercise judgement in recommending treatments that align with IFRS standards and easyJet policies, and oversee all capital-related accounting across the group.

You’ll operate as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing financial insight and recommendations, and drive operational and finance process improvements for your area.

 

Requirements of the Role

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 10 years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing talent and driving high performance.
  • Excellent project management skills and strong leadership and communication ability.
  • Sound and practical accounting judgement, with prior experience of IFRS 16 and lease accounting (essential).
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of financial accounts and supporting ledgers.
  • Experience operating at senior manager level and supporting Directors.
  • Track record of delivery through influencing and building strong relationships.
  • Ability to communicate and challenge effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive team player and self-starter, able to work on own initiative and offer solutions.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, comfortable working in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.

PRACTICALITIES

This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
